Engaging, helpful reception staff; charming ambience of interior; spaciousness and comfort of suite
Restaurant also full of charm (ambience), though staff were having a bad night (forgotten orders necessitated reminders); lack of elevator means that luggage has to be carried up and down stairs, but it's worth the effort and staff do offer to assist

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a luxurious 4-star hotel that provided enhanced comfort and quality services. This place is nestled among the beautiful mountains, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request. The housekeeping team ensured that my room was impeccably clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel offered convenient amenities such as laundry services and ironing facilities, allowing me to relax and enjoy my time here.

Hotel roms ae tired and poorly equipped. Gentile shabiness would be the most generous description. No ventilation in the bathroom or toilet. Mould smell which hotel attempted to overcome with sickly sweet perfume oil. Air-conditioning doesn't work at all. No tea-making facilities. Television reception is fuzzy with no English language stations - just a few French and two German. Stairs everywhere but no lifts, Only one small female staff member at reception unable to lift heavy luggage. Breakfast unbelievably expensive - 21 euros.a person for "continental" breakfast or 30 euros for a full breakfast. .

We loved the charming ambiance and distant mountain views. The hotel's decor was delightful and the rooms very nicely appointed and impeccably clean. The breakfast offered a fine selection of pastries, cereals, eggs, meats, fruit. We also enjoyed the clean pool and friendly, attentive staff. Additionally, the hotel's location close to nature and the monastery of Ganagobie allowed us to explore scenic and interesting parts of the region.
Nothing to complain about at all.

The decoration of the hotel was absolutely enchanting, with beautiful and elegant furnishings that made me feel like I was transported back in time. The general areas had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying a cup of tea. As a senior woman, I was delighted to find that the hotel was easily accessible, with ramps and handrails in place to assist with mobility.
The only improvement I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be more attentive and accommodating to our needs. A little extra assistance and understanding from the staff would have made our stay even more enjoyable.

Our stay at La Bonne Etape was the highlight of our travels to Provence. I only regret is that we did not stay longer. The accommodations, service, and food exceeded our expectation. If you can afford to stay here do not hesitate to book!
Nothing. At first I was unhappy that the scale in the bathroom did not work. However, after tasting the food the chef was turning out it turned out to be a good thinkg.

The country setting
Food much overrated. Too expensive. Food was cold. Staff was young and immature and inexperienced.

Excellent Pool, Quaint French old Building,
No lift so difficult with heavy bags upstairs. Michelin Star Restaurant, but the attached Brasserie did not reflect this. I had mild food poisoning, but in any case probably worst meal on our 18 day trip

Pleasant hotel; 'terrace' adjacent to road and car park opposite which seemed to be the only place to have a drink before dinner. Unfortunately I was violently sick after eating in the restaurant and both my husband and I had diarrhoea as well. Not sure why it merited a Michelin 1*
